A 80km Triple Play Broadband Delivery is a project to deliver broadband internet, access control, and telephone services to customers within a 80km radius of the project's central hub. The project involved the following steps: Planning: The project team developed a detailed plan that included the following: A survey of the existing infrastructure in the area to determine where new infrastructure will be needed. A design for the new infrastructure, including the type of cable that will be used, the placement of fiber optic nodes, and the installation of new equipment at customer premises. A schedule for the project, including a timeline for completing each phase of the project. A budget for the project, including the cost of materials, labor, and equipment. Construction: The project team constructed the new infrastructure, including laying new cable, installing fiber optic nodes, and setting up new equipment at customer premises. Testing: Once the new infrastructure was in place, the project team ran tests to ensure that it was working properly. Activation: Once the new infrastructure had been tested and approved, the project team activated for customers to start using the services. 80km Triple Play Broadband Delivery projects can be complex and challenging, but provides significant benefits to the communities that were served. Here are some of the key challenges faced during the delivery of the 80km Triple Play Broadband project: Terrain: The terrain in the area where for the delivery of the project was difficult making cable and new infrastructure installation expensive. Weather: The weather conditions in the area also posed challenges. Permits: Securing the required permits from a variety of government agencies was hectic. Right-of-way: Negotiation with infrastructure owners and the government also introduced challenges. Customer education: Once the new infrastructure was in place, educating the customers on how to use the new services came with its own hurdles. Despite the challenges, delivering a 80km Triple Play Broadband project provided a rewarding experience. By providing access to high-speed internet, access control, and telephone services, there was improvement to the lives of the new users whilst the plan is to include Television upgrading it to a quadruple play.
