About me
For nearly 30 years, I have led teams in the Medical devices industry in a variety of Operations Management roles. This included managing cross functional teams of up to 150 people consisting of operators, supervisors & engineers. My role was to build the engagement of the teams so as to improve our service, quality and finance metrics. This involved coaching my support teams as well as getting out onto the shop floor daily to hear the ideas the teams had to improve engagement and hence our performance. This role also involved managing poor performers and in some cases helping them to find roles outside of the company. I found this position to be a hugely satisfying one & I still enjoy meeting the team and seeing them gaining promotion into more senior roles in the company.
