About me
After a career in sales and marketing in the construction sector, I purchased a small established business. I used the skills I had gathered during my career to sustain and develop our business. Specifically sales and marketing the life blood of any business. When I bought Oxford Ironmongery (OI)in 2004 it was a small architectural ironmongery business supplying fittings for doors and windows to local construction companies. There wasn’t any retail business and the business operated short hours only during the week. I developed the business by extending the trading hours opening on Saturdays, advertising in local magazines developing a website and completely refurbishing the showroom. Within 2 years we had doubled turnover and employed our first member of staff.
