We\u2019ll be covering the best places to work, the types of real estate clients you\u2019ll be working for, and what the job is really like on the day-to-day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Get Into International Real Estate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first thing to note is that international property sales come with a lot more regulation and red tape than domestic ones. In the international market, the job description is often broader and more technical. International agents act as strategic advisors to foreign buyers, expat workers, institutional workers, and property developers who are looking to expand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In practice, an international real estate agent often spends their hours analysing market trends to see how they compare between regions, conducting valuations across multiple currencies, and coordinating with tax attorneys and immigration specialists. They often assist clients with visa-linked property investments, such as Golden Visa programs in Europe or residency-by-investment schemes in the Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond residential sales, roles in this space frequently overlap with development jobs. In these positions, specialists conduct feasibility studies for multinational construction projects, secure foreign capital partners, and market large-scale commercial or resort developments into international buyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Best Places to Work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So where should you move to? <a href=\"https:\/\/careernavig8r.com\/blog\/best-cities-for-finance-careers\/\">Which cities offer the best opportunities worldwide<\/a>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019ve reached this point and you\u2019re still sold on taking your real estate career international, then you\u2019ll probably want to focus on one of the big four: Miami, London, Singapore, or Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re US based and want to work in the international market but don\u2019t want to travel, then Miami is ideal. There\u2019s lots of international investment so you\u2019ll be doing much the same job but from the home side. This is a particularly good city for second home buyers and commercial investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Europe, London is the place to be. A major financial hub, London attracts massive amounts of foreign capital. Dubai is a little bit of a wildcard on this list because, while it\u2019s an incredibly active market with many unique advantages like tax-free income and straightforward residency visas for property buyers, there\u2019s also reason to be skeptical. The market in Dubai has always fluctuated with recent tensions around the strait of Hormuz leading to even greater instability. On top of that, among realtors, the city generally has a reputation for being challenging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s minimal legal regulation in Dubai, opening the way to all kinds of ruthless dealing. On top of that, many of the jobs are 100% commission based, meaning that there really is no room for failure.
