Becoming head chef at any restaurant is an impressive achievement and there are only so many Michelin Star restaurants in the world. If you want to make the cut, you\u2019ll need to do more than just cook. Of course, that\u2019s not to say it\u2019s an unattainable goal. If this is your dream, then there\u2019s no reason not to pursue it. Just remember it\u2019s the top of the top and the culmination of years and sometimes even decades of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s also worth noting that Michelin Star Chef is far from the only high earning role you can work in the hospitality and catering industry. Hospitality careers can be difficult and stressful but they can also be very lucrative over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the US, head chefs at high-end venues can earn over six figures, with the standard salary expectation at around $60,000-$65,000. But not everybody decides to stay in the kitchen, with many moving up into management roles and even running businesses for themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
