You\u2019ve got skills, you might even have the qualifications, but without a strong reference, it can all fall flat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If only there was <a href=\"https:\/\/careernavig8r.com\/blog\/what-to-expect-from-your-mentor\/\">someone who could vouch for you<\/a>? Someone who had excellent, first-hand experience of working with you who could speak to all your strengths?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What you need is a Mentor reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mentors as Job References: How does it work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before we talk about Mentor references specifically, let\u2019s take a moment to discuss <a href=\"https:\/\/www.business.com\/articles\/importance-of-job-references\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">why companies ask for references<\/a> in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A reference serves several purposes. First and foremost, it demonstrates that you\u2019re <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medixteam.com\/blog\/why-you-should-be-honest-on-your-resume\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">being honest on your CV<\/a>.
